| Chased by a Crazy Dog |
One day of our vacation ALSO in Spain, my mother baked a delicious cake and told me to give it to our neighbor. Our neighbor's cottage is not that far from ours.
I gave them the cake and headed back. While I was returning back to our cottage, I saw a small ball on the floor that looked like tennis ball. I picked it up and played with it. I felt that there is something behind me because I heard someone's' breath. When I looked behind me I saw a big dog (actually I'm afraid of big dogs, keep it as a secret between us don't tell anyone about it.. LOL). I screamed and ran away from it, but it followed me and bark and kept following me till I reached our cottage. Thank god that my father was inside, so he saved my life. He took the ball from me and threw it to the crazy dog and it finally gone. Then I realized that the dog was angry because I took its ball ... I really didn't know that the dog wanted the ball.
It was an embarrassing situation ... I know ;p just imagine me running and the dog chasing me PUUHH.
"A PIECE OF ADVICE"
just keep it maybe you'll need it one day when you become in such situation ;p
if you 're chased by a dog when walking, jogging, or bicycling ... Stop, run toward the dog, point,and firmly say "NO!!" or "GO HOME!!"
repeat it as needed
"THIS IS EFFECTIVE EVEN FOR DOGS THAT DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH"

dogs are peaceful as long as you stay peaceful with them ;)
as for dogs that don't speak english, or those who "speak" spanish, yell "fuera" at them (I think it means "out") the spaniards use it in similar incidents.
I hope it will help you next time.

yes, it means out, but you can also yell and say "syantatay aky" which means "sit here" .. huhuhu yeah i really hope so ;)

I am a fervent animal protector. I am sorry you had to go through this scarry experience, though it never happened to me, my friends told me all about it. Indeed, dogs are aggressive when it comes to protecting their teritory or their food&toys. The piece of advice you posted here should be really taken into consideration, it is the correct thing to do :)

Wow, that's really nice if you have the ability and courage to treat animals. but that doesn't fit me ;p
i don't mind to have a small cat or a puppy, they're really cute.
about the advice, yeah we should all take into consideration, just in case =p
